As a sisterhood of professional martial artists on a collective mission to empower the communities where we live and interact, our goal is to help enhance the lives in the communities where we serve. We seek to accelerate residents' efforts to be self-sufficient, self-determined, and supported in reaching new heights.

We accomplish our mission initiatives through workshops that uplift, educate, and inspire others to thrive, share tips and techniques for managing stress and guarding their personal safety, support outreach programs (i.e., adult reading lessons) that open new doors of opportunities, donate scholarships for continued education, support health initiatives, and more. From the Founder &
Executive Director

When you bring together a group of confident, intelligent, educated, creative, highly skilled, and professional women, you hope that they will use their collective wisdom and experiences to enhance the lives of the communities where they live and interact. This has been the case for Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc. Since start, we have taken multiple opportunities to enhance the lives of others. However, due to our sole - soul's - focus to serving others, we overlooked opportunities to also enhance the lives of our Sorors. So, for this 8-Year Anniversary, our theme is "The Year of Sisterhood Superpowers."

Our superpowers are our martial arts, and we will continue using our superpowers to provide personal safety awareness to others. Yet, with our theme in mind, our collective intention for 2026 is to strengthen our sisterhood superpowers by engaging in dialogue and activities that encourage, uplift, motivate, and enhance our members' lives.

"Thank you" women of Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc. for being a consistent and amazing beacon of light to others. Now, let us turn inward and become an even greater united light bearer because the stronger we are, the brighter our illumination on others.
